Developing and Enhancing Skills of Rural Women


Women comprise a large part of the population in the villages. Many men died in the war. Women have important responsibilities at home, such as education and health care for the children. Economically empowering rural mothers is important for the well-being of the children, for peace in the family and stability of marriage.

The women’s projects include:

Handifcraft Women are doing various kinds of handicraft work to generate income and fulfill domestic needs.
Bee Keeping Women are learning the fundamental of raising bees for honey.
Salon Skills related to hair and beauty care are being taught. This will enable women to acquire jobs in the salon industry.
Making Soap The fundaments of soap making help to generate income and improve personal hygiene.
